This tunnel was built around 1882 for the Toledo, Cincinnati, & St. Louis Railroad. In 1891, the Cincinnati, Hamilton, & Dayton Railroad took control of the line. The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad purchased the line in June, 1917. The tracks were abandoned that same year, after the takeover. |

The small village of Hoadley Station was located here. As the name suggests, it was a station on the railroad. After the line was abandoned, it quickly faded away into oblivion. The small village of Hoadley was also located nearby. |
