Limestone Furnace

This iron furnace was owned by the Limestone Furnace Company, and managed by William J. Evans. Several of the original stockholders were Welshmen. In 1856, a wealthy farmer named Riley Corn bought out most the stockholders. The company went bankrupt and was forced to close down in 1860.
