On June 6, 1827, Clark Hollenback laid out the small village of Knoxville. Hollenback ended up selling the village to Samuel Frazey a year later. Frazey then changed the name to Frazeysburgh. The village had a flour/saw mill. Frazeysburg is the only village in Jackson Township.
