This forgotten and rarely seen canal lock is hidden in the woods just outside of Baltimore. The level that this canal lock controlled was only a short distance from Lock # 3.

In 1850, Robert Wynn built a small sawmill near this canal lock. The 8 foot drop in elevation in this area of the canal provided sufficient waterpower for the mill.
